Jonathan was immersed in art from a young age. His father Karl, a landscape painter, helped nurture his appreciation for the beauty that nature and your surroundings have to offer. After studying photojournalism at Loyalist College, Jonathan found work at a local production company. That experience helped him realize that one of his life’s motivations was to create films, but without a proper knowledge base it would be a tough road to follow. After some time working in the industry, he enrolled in Algonquin College’s TV Broadcasting program, where he cemented his love for the craft. Jonathan’s video production company, JustPixl  was started day 1 after graduation in 2014. Jonathan’s time with JustPixl has really helped him discover and develop his aesthetic style, while managing commercial projects, and ultimately led to him wanting to focus on the craft of cinematography.
